Get the "ICS" look.

As you all know the Karbonn A1 will "never" get an update to the IceCreamSandwich.But you can easily get the ICS with the help of third-party launchers and apps.

1)Launcher-ICS launcher

The most important to get the ICS Look is the launcher.There are many ICS Launchers and themes in the market .But I will recommend the best which is the Holo Launcher.

2) Locker-Go locker with ICS theme

After the launcher the most important thing is the locker. There are tons of locker too but which gives the true feel is Go locker.Go locker can be customized to ICS with the help of themes just search Go locker ICS Themes in the Playstore select the one according to your taste.

3) Status Bar-Omega Status Bar with ICS theme

For the status bar my choice will be the omega status bar with ICS theme.Because it displays the notifications well than other status bars.The ICS theme for omega status bar is available in the playstore.

4)Third-Party Apps

1) Ex-dialer

If you want the ICS dialer.Then install Ex-dialer and its ICS theme.It supports a lot of theme and provides more capabilities than the stock dialer.Like slide right to call and slide left to message the contact.

The stock messaging app for the Froyo.Make sure you turn of the notifications of previous messaging app otherwise you will receive two notifications for the same sms.

Install "Adobe Flash Player"

As specified officially the Karbonn A1 was capable of adobe flash 10.1 .But none of us can find the app in the phone nor any flash video was played.In short there was no Flash Player installed.

But Guys the Karbonn A1 is capable of playing Flash if it is rooted. Just follow the steps.

Note: Your Device must be rooted .

Step-By-Step Guide:

1) Download Adobe Flash Player v11.0.1.153.From Here.

2) Download UC Browser.From Here.

3) Transfer these files to your phone.

4) First install Adobe Flash Player then install UC Browser.

5) Now restart the phone .

DONE! You have succesfully installed flash.

I have tested it and flash videos do play in the UC Browser as well as Default Browser. Note guys that UC browser is essential otherwise it will not work.

Status Bar

Do you like the grey status bar on the top of the A1?If you ask me my answer will be "No".It just looks ridiculous.Why not change the status bar with the help of third-party apps.Yes.Here i have compiled a list of the status bars from the playstore.

1)StatusBar+

 It is the most preferred status bar in the playstore.AS it is WP7 style the notifications appear immediately as popups.But it is not free .A trial version for 15 days is available if you want the taste of it otherwise check the next status bars as they are free.

2) Omega Status Bar

 This is the status bar I am using.The next stable status bar after StatusBar+ is the omaga status bar.Also it support themes.Ics Theme with cool blue icons is also available.Get it free:Here

3) ICS Statusbar

 ICS Status bar is a full featured replica of the original ICS Status Bar.The functionality is same as othe status bars.Check it out in the Playstore. Link

4)Jelly Bean StatusBar

 It is same as the ICS Status bar from the same developer but with a Jelly Bean Look.Link

5) Super Status Bar

Super Status bar looks the coolest from all the satus bars .It also provides more functionality than other status bars.But I found that it lags on the A1.Also it does not provide all its functionality in the free version.You have to purchase the pro version to get all the functionality. Link

Installing "BusyBox"

Only rooting your phone is not only essential.You need to install busy box . Because nearly all rooted applications require "Busy Box" installed. Don't worry the steps of installing busy box are as simple as one,two,three.

Follow the steps:

1) Download "BusyBox" from the PlayStore. Link here.

2)Open the "BusyBox" app. It will give you a popup menu for the pro version close that.

3)Carefully read all the data.THEN INSTALL BUSYBOX FROM THE OPTION AT THE BOTTOM .It will take sometiome to install 'BusyBox' please be patient.

4)Then it will say "BusyBox" installed and a icon will be placed in the appdrawer/menu.

5)Done.You have successfully installed BusyBox!

Warning: These steps worked for me still i will not be respnsible if anything happens to your device.Use at your own risk.
